From: Barb Coblentz [mailto:barbcoblentz@gmail.com
Thanks Sara for sending this out!
We're pulling out stuff for Immanuel Lutheran's rummage sale (this Friday and Saturday), and found some homeschooling materials. Would you be willing to send out the list for me? Everything is less than $10; most are $5 or less. Anybody who's interested can call or email me; what's left on Thursday goes to the church.
Thanks,
Barb

Can You Bless This Homeschool Grandma?
A friend of mine called me today (Kathy Meshnich) with a request. Kathy's neighbor is a home school Grandma. Last year 4 children lost their parents in a bad car accident. Well, Grandma has them and she is going to home school them. (apparently the mom started home schooling them and Grandma wants to finish) She doesn't have any curriculum (? I guess?). The ages of the children are boy 4 years, girl 8 years, girl 10 years. Not sure if the 8 year old can read. Any 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and/or 4th grade they would need. If anyone has some curriculum that they would just like to give her that would Bless her! Please let me know or just drop off at my house or we could meet somewhere and I will give it to Kathy. Any ?'s call or e-mail me.
Thank you so much!
God Bless!

Hey, friends!
I recently found out that the Y is not sending out their brochure through the mail this year (Parks and Rec. is on the flip side). You may pick up one at the Y or check out their online site. I just didn't want anyone to miss out on the gym opportunity for lack of information. So, I'm sending out the info. that applies, and you may share it with anyone I have missed. My e-mail list is definitely not comprehensive! Whether or not you are a member, you must register in order to participate.
Blessings!
Anne

Back to School we Go
Where did the summer go? Quite honestly, I’m not certain, but we are now in the throes of planning the next school year!
So, here we go…..
Marshfield Area Home Educators (MAHE) began in 1987 with 4 member families and has grown since to include many more member families. We share a common interest educating children at home with a Christian perspective. Our goal is to encourage quality education for our children while strengthening, helping, and upholding one another toward that goal.
A Reminder…..Subscribe to MAHE Blog (yes that is this blog)
This is where information will be found via the internet regarding MAHE.
How does this work? On the right hand side bar, towards the middle of the page, there is a line that says, Subscribe to Marshfield Area Home Educators by e-mail. Click on this and put in your e-mail address at the prompt. Please note: This is what we as MAHE members need to do in order to stay connected to the MAHE Blog. Otherwise you won’t get any updates. You will then receive an e-mail from Feedburner e-mail Subscriptions asking you to verify your connection by checking on the website listed.
Blog membership is open to anybody who subscribes---literally all home schoolers in Central WI. So, ----please subscribe. It costs you nothing and keeps you in the loop!
Plus, we'd love to have you comment and make the site interactive.
If you have an encouraging post you would like to write for the blog send them to Laura houseofhope7@gmail.com
